GODZILLA: Hoshi o Kuu Mono

The Exif have been hiding a secret: The identity of the entity that destroyed their home planet millennia ago. A planet-devourer dwarfing even Godzilla. Yet with Mechagodzilla City reduced to a charred wasteland, what hope does humanity have against such a creature?

Continues from where Kessen Kidou Zoushoku Toshi left off by moving the religious aspects to the forefront and mixing in elements of horror. The level of romance remains minor while the amount of action is greatly reduced.

GODZILLA: Kessen Kidou Zoushoku Toshi

The passage of 20,000 years has changed the Earth into an unrecognizable alien landscape inhabited by hostile life forms of all varieties. Yet something similar to humanity persists, and even though Godzilla’s destruction won’t restore the planet to its former state Sakaki Haruo is determined to continue his quest for revenge.

Picks up immediately from where Kaijuu Wakusei left off, trading the dramatic aspects for exposition while reducing the amount of action in favor of expanding the religious theme and introducing a few small romance elements.

GODZILLA: Kaijuu Wakusei

Suddenly and without warning giant monsters began to appear on Earth one after another, culminating in the appearance of the avatar of destruction Godzilla. With resistance appearing futile, a mixed group of humans and aliens decide to flee the planet on an emigration ship headed for Tau Ceti. Yet after finding no viable planets to inhabit on arrival and with supplies running low, rumors begin to circulate that returning to Earth via a subspace warp may be the best course of action.

An action-centered movie with a subfocus on drama and a tertiary religious theme.

Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san OVAs

Though Kogarashi is capable of dispatching troublesome spirits with a single punch, living at Yuragi-sou exposes him to many hazards that his fists can’t protect him from: Yuuna’s telekinetic outbursts, Koyuzu’s transformative powers, and Oboro’s amorous ambushes, just to name a few.

A set of ecchi-centric short stories featuring the same variety of comedy as the main series. The first OVA takes place shortly after the 3rd episode, while the other two occur following the 12th.

Awakening from a dream of his first love, Sanpeita Kobayashi finds his room a warzone as spider-tanks and a strange girl wearing a wedding dress bust through the wall to do battle. Deciding the best course of action is to pretend that never happened he flees to school… only to have the girl follow him there and declare him her husband in front of the entire class.

An ecchi romantic comedy featuring slapstick and random-style humor along with frequent action scenes. It also has a few minor dramatic elements.

A warfare-centric action series with a moderate amount of comic relief and a few dramatic elements. It’s a retelling of Romance of the Three Kingdoms with the cast represented by miniature Gundams.

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara

In a future where magic use is commonplace Hitomi Tsukishiro grew up in a family of mages to become withdrawn and uncomfortable with magic, eventually even losing her ability to perceive colors. Believing the source of her problems is related to a lack of personal relationships, her grandmother sends her 60 years back in time with the hope that she’ll regain her sense of color by finding someone there to connect with.

An often comedic coming of age story with a secondary focus on romance and a few dramatic elements.

So after becoming friends with the student council member Touko Nanami, who has been the recipient of more than a few love confessions, she decides to ask her about them. To Yuu’s surprise, Touko responds by confessing to her.

A highschool yuri romance with moderate comedic aspects and a small amount of drama.

Back in 2013 an exotic form of matter was discovered at the CERN facility in Geneva. Dubbed ‘XM’, the substance has always existed alongside humanity and has a not fully understood effect on the human brain. Now in 2018 the world is split between two factions, the Enlightened and the Resistance, who each have very different ideas about how XM should be used.

An action thriller with a few bits of comic relief and a minor romantic subplot. It assumes you have not played the related game.

Following France’s defeat at Azincourt, the knight’s academy the aspiring alchemist Montmorency was attending is shuttered and one of his close friends end up captured. Desperate for power he manages to summon the fairy queen Astarot, who agrees to provide the knowledge necessary to become the protector he’s always wished to be. However… Montmorency has little talent for alchemy, and ends up having to rely upon a young village girl he stumbles across one morning to wield the power he’s unable to.

An ecchi-heavy mixed genre series.
