Following France’s defeat at Azincourt, the knight’s academy the aspiring alchemist Montmorency was attending is shuttered and one of his close friends end up captured. Desperate for power he manages to summon the fairy queen Astarot, who agrees to provide the knowledge necessary to become the protector he’s always wished to be. However… Montmorency has little talent for alchemy, and ends up having to rely upon a young village girl he stumbles across one morning to wield the power he’s unable to.

An ecchi-heavy mixed genre series.

Sucked into an alternate dimension along with his cousin, Itsuki Yuge must now create Star Children with each of the Granvania kingdom’s various Star Maidens in order to battle the chaotic disruptions known as ‘Impurities’ and hopefully find a way home. A task accomplished by creating a special bond through physical contact.

A semi-episodic ecchi romantic comedy with a few action scenes.

Students from each of two feuding countries both attended the Dahlia Academy Boarding School. Yet despite their homelands’ hostilities, Romio Inuzuka of the Black Doggy dorm and Juliet Percia of the White Cats’ have fallen in love and must now do their best to hide their relationship from the other students at the school.

A reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet as a school-life romantic comedy with periodic bursts of drama. It features a large amount of slapstick humor alongside secondary action and ecchi elements.

Though shunned by most other adventurers for focusing on such low-paying work, a few steadfast allies admire his expertise and single-minded determination.

A graphic action-drama with a moderate level of comic relief, small amount of ecchi, and some minor harem elements.

Double Decker!: Doug & Kirill

Lisvalletta’s special crime investigation unit pairs its officers up together using a system dubbed “Double Decker” to increase their effectiveness against the various criminal elements peddling the exceedingly dangerous illegal drug “Anthem”. Kirill Vrubel, an aspiring hero, has just recently joined the unit and ends up partnered with the idiosyncratic veteran officer Doug Billingham… a pairing far more effective than it initially appears.

A police procedural action-comedy with minor dramatic aspects taking place in the same universe as Tiger & Bunny. Watching requires no prior familiarity with the franchise.

The battle between ghouls and the CCG continues unabated. It’s been years since Ken Kaneki’s disappearance following the assault on Anteiku and now the CCG has begun fielding a new unit of half-ghouls led by a man named Sasaki Haise, who bears a striking resemblance to Ken and has no memories of his earlier life.

An agency themed action-drama with a small amount of comic relief. It’s a continuation of Tokyo Ghoul √A with a new main cast, but you’ll need to have seen the prequels to recognize the numerous callbacks and extensive number of returning characters.

Desperate for money and panning for gold in the wilderness, Saichi Sugimoto hears the tale of a hidden stockpile of Ainu treasure. With no better prospects he decides to try his luck at finding it, assisted by both his soldier’s training and a young Ainu girl he meets along the way.

A graphic, hunting-themed action series with frequent food-related scenes and an initially moderate level of comic relief which grows higher as the show progresses.

A new drug called ‘Banana Fish’ has made its way over to the United States. Far from harmless, it triggers a berserk episode followed by complete catatonia. A pure sample of this drug happens to fall into the hands of the young gang leader Ash Lynx, who having lost his brother to it resolves to discover the source and get revenge despite heavy opposition from the Corsican mafia.

A crime drama with frequent action scenes, occasional comic relief, a few thriller aspects, and re-occurring yaoi elements.

Waking up in a strange house, Yuuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is or who the people around him are. Following the sound of what he assumes to be his name leads to a computer where someone calling themselves ‘Gridman’ implores him to realize his identity. Someone apparently only he can see and hear. Initially writing it off as a hallucination, he’s eventually forced to face reality after being sucked into a computer to fight a giant monster that’s suddenly begun attacking the town.

A combination of character drama and tokusatsu action with a large amount of comic relief and minor romance elements. No familiarity with the live-action Gridman or Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad productions is necessary to watch it.

Suddenly killed in a traffic accident, 2nd-year highschool student Sakura Minamoto awakens to find herself in a creepy zombie-filled house. Running for her life she manages to escape… only to discover that she herself is a zombie, raised from death to revitalize the fading Saga Prefecture as part of a zombie idol group.

An idol comedy focused on reaction and absurdist humor including a number of secondary dramatic subplots and a few horror elements.
