An episodic gag comedy featuring an assortment of reaction-based, random-style, 4th wall breaking, slapstick, and parody humor. It does not require any familiarity with either of the Osomatsu-kun prequels.

Race day is coming up and the Matsuno sextuplets have become obsessed with the sport.

A collection of gag segments centered on horse racing which doubles as an advertisement for the JRA. It won’t make much sense if you haven’t already seen the parent series.

  • VANISHING LINE: GARO

Posted on April 8, 2018 7:25 am by Offkorn Comment

Searching for clues regarding her brother’s disappearance years earlier, Sophie Hennes learns it has something to do with the term ‘El Dorado’ and falls headfirst into the hidden world of the Horrors. There she would have died if it were not for Sword, the current Golden Demon Knight, who is hunting El Dorado for his own reasons and eventually agrees to let her assist in the search.

A partly episodic action-drama with some minor horror, comic relief, and ecchi elements. In regard to the two previous Garo animated series, it includes a few character references to Honoo no Kokuin and has no notable connection to Guren no Tsuki.

Posted on April 7, 2018 7:19 am by Offkorn Comment

Four years have passed since Mendoza’s defeat and León has begun training the Zoro armor’s successor, training interrupted by an order to hunt down the famous Horror of Vazelia Lake. Taking advantage of the distraction a group of unknown assailants kidnaps his apprentice and lead him on a chase to a nearby town… where he encounters a familiar yet unexpected face.

An action-centric sequel to Honoo no Kokuin featuring a bit of nudity. Watching that series first is necessary in order to understand the references.

Posted on April 7, 2018 4:26 am by Offkorn Comment

Having recovered from their battle against the Vertex, Yuuna and the others settle back into an everyday routine with their Hero Club duties. Something seems to be missing though, someone who should be there is not and Yuuna can’t quite shake her feelings of unease….

A continuation of Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru focused primarily on drama. It includes a recap of that series and requires having at least seen Washio Sumi no Shou.

  • Pop Team Epic

Posted on March 26, 2018 2:33 pm by Offkorn 2 Comments

Popuko, short and quick to anger, and Pipimi, tall and laid back, are two halves of the whole that is Pop Team Epic. Two rude and crude schoolgirls who often find themselves in all sorts of bizarre and surreal situations.

A gag comedy focused on abstract/random and meta 4th-wall breaking humor. Be aware that most episodes repeat themselves halfway through with different voice actors, and that while based on a manga strip much of the content is Anime-original.
