As the Taibai empire continues its hostile takeover of all nearby lands, only a small group of resistance fighters are willing to stand against its overwhelming military strength. While doing her best to avoid that conflict by performing as a traveling sword dancer with her sister Nei, In Fu stumbles across a magical artifact capable of summoning both a powerful mechanized spirit and mystic sword. A discovery which will inevitably draw them both to the front lines of the rebellion.

A warfare-focused action-drama taking place in the Xuan-Yuan Sword universe. It features both mecha and magical battles.

After goblins killed his family right in front of his eyes as a child, Goblin Slayer became obsessed with killing goblins in exclusion to all other monsters. Though shunned by most other adventurers for focusing on such low-paying work, a few steadfast allies admire his expertise and single-minded determination.

A graphic action-drama with a moderate level of comic relief, small amount of ecchi, and some minor harem elements.

The battle between ghouls and the CCG continues unabated. It’s been years since Ken Kaneki’s disappearance following the assault on Anteiku and now the CCG has begun fielding a new unit of half-ghouls led by a man named Sasaki Haise, who bears a striking resemblance to Ken and has no memories of his earlier life.

An agency themed action-drama with a small amount of comic relief. It’s a continuation of Tokyo Ghoul √A with a new main cast, but you’ll need to have seen the prequels to recognize the numerous callbacks and extensive number of returning characters.

A new drug called ‘Banana Fish’ has made its way over to the United States. Far from harmless, it triggers a berserk episode followed by complete catatonia. A pure sample of this drug happens to fall into the hands of the young gang leader Ash Lynx, who having lost his brother to it resolves to discover the source and get revenge despite heavy opposition from the Corsican mafia.

A crime drama with frequent action scenes, occasional comic relief, a few thriller aspects, and re-occurring yaoi elements.

Waking up in a strange house, Yuuta Hibiki can’t remember who he is or who the people around him are. Following the sound of what he assumes to be his name leads to a computer where someone calling themselves ‘Gridman’ implores him to realize his identity. Someone apparently only he can see and hear. Initially writing it off as a hallucination, he’s eventually forced to face reality after being sucked into a computer to fight a giant monster that’s suddenly begun attacking the town.

A combination of character drama and tokusatsu action with a large amount of comic relief and minor romance elements. No familiarity with the live-action Gridman or Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad productions is necessary to watch it.

Suddenly killed in a traffic accident, 2nd-year highschool student Sakura Minamoto awakens to find herself in a creepy zombie-filled house. Running for her life she manages to escape… only to discover that she herself is a zombie, raised from death to revitalize the fading Saga Prefecture as part of a zombie idol group.

An idol comedy focused on reaction and absurdist humor including a number of secondary dramatic subplots and a few horror elements.

Serious, quiet, and detached, Haruki Shiga couldn’t be more different from the outgoing and energetic Sakura Yamauchi, and in fact they’ve never even talked to one another before. Yet a chance meeting at the hospital results in him learning about her terminal illness… a revelation he shows no reaction to whatsoever. Intrigued by this unexpected response, she decides to spend however long she has left hanging out with him.

An odd-couple romance with both comedic and dramatic elements. While primarily focused on mortality and personal growth, it also touches on a variety of other philosophical themes.

Traveling to the secluded staging grounds of a special festival in the hopes of meeting his friend Atsushi Fujii, whom he hasn’t seen in years, Shouma Mihara gets lost and injures himself falling from a cliff. After being found by another attendee and brought to the village hosting the event he’s eventually informed that while Atsushi is not there, it may be possible to meet him later if he helps out with the festival preparations.

A character drama with minor mystery elements and a few action scenes. Though related to the Monster Strike franchise it’s effectively a stand-alone work.
