    Rise of the Frontier Lord

While there are some exceptionally contrived bits, like the whole sequence with the throne ship and miasma (or the spontaneous herald thing), this is a pretty fun kingdom-building story with a diverse cast. At this point I’d have to say the biggest oddity is how the Imperials don’t take the existence of the Wolf-God seriously despite being fully aware of multiple other gods.

    From Londoner To Lord

A somewhat slowly paced kingdom-building story that occasionally goes a bit too heavy on the sentimentality. And while I’m not personally fond of the advertising scheme the author has adopted (which greatly resembles what a pay-to-win MMO would use), nor how desperate they seem to be to acquire more readers, if you just focus on the story itself while ignoring the set-dressing it ends up a decent enough time-waster.

    Reborn as a Fantasy General

A story about an aspiring historian war-nerd who gets summoned to a Warhammer-like world as a savior figure destined to lead a band of ratmen to greatness. Apart from having a misleading title (no one is reborn here) the only real issue is how abnormally fast the protagonist adapts to life underground among pestilence-worshiping cannibals. That said, I’m not really a fan of the first book’s rushed ending, nor the total setting/character shift of the second.

    Rise Of The Worthy

While interesting, there are some weird holes in the setting and event developments that strain credulity to the breaking point.

    Soul Merger

A fun and engaging series (the MC is apparently only succubus-adjacent to justify an entirely female cast) that handles creature-related lore-dumps by providing in-universe encyclopedia entries as integrated chapters. Unfortunately, at a certain point the protagonists decide to go raiding the bottom of a labyrinth for ~reasons~ and when the inevitable happens I just lost all interest in finishing it.

    A Relatively Powerful Mage

A well-written (apart from some rather abrupt romantic developments) post-apocalyptic System-based series. Despite having a good mix of personal power-gain and empire-building I ended up having to drop it at the end of the first book, at which point it explicitly decides to set off on a path of human supremacy. That’s just not something I’m interested in reading about.
