Waking from a bad dream Maze find her room a mess and her memory in shambles. Worse, it seems she’s been transported to some sort of fantasy world. There she becomes entangled with a princess on the run and develops strange powers… not least being the uncontrollable ability to transform into a completely different person at night.

An action comedy whose comedy comes from silly faces and harem antics. Two things to be aware of are that the romantic attractions here are remarkably varied, with there being all sorts of pairings (though girl<->girl is the most prominent), and a little ways past the midpoint it begins to acquire a distinct focus on an incestuous relationship.

Haruka Nanami wishes to become a composer, and the first stop on her journey is the prestigious Saotome Academy boarding school for the musically inclined. There she meets six aspiring idols who each take an interest in her.

An Anime-original interpretation of a long-running series of ‘love adventure’ games. The show combines melodrama and wacky comedy segments with a small touch of romance. It’s not really about idols or making music until nearly the very end, focusing instead on the various characters’ personalities and personal issues.

Wanting to be more like her mother, Kohana transfers into the Hoshinomori School of Magic Arts. There she meets six boys, each with their own artistic specialty, who all take an interest in her unusual talent for arrangement and cheerful smile.

A school life harem with a comedic style closer to that of a gag comedy. It doesn’t actually begin to focus on romance until around the eighth episode, instead mainly being concerned with resolving the characters’ personal issues and getting everyone together to organize a successful school festival. It’s also not much of a fantasy show; up until the twelfth episode the ‘magic’ on display only exists to visualize the artists’ skill level.

As a huge fujoshi, Kae loves nothing more than imagining romantic relationships between attractive boys. After receiving a massive shock one night while watching Anime, she holes up in her room for an entire week. The seclusion does wonders for her figure and she now find’s herself inundated with male attention… but she would prefer they direct it toward each other instead of her.

A romantic comedy with the twist being the girl would rather see the suitors paired up with each other. The romance is of the standard harem variety while the comedy is reaction-based and mostly centered on Kae’s otaku interests.

A colony ship has an accident in orbit over a remote planet and six men are the only survivors. Now, 300 years later, an all-male society consisting of six different countries has been established through the use of cloning technology. On this world with no women, androids called Marionettes have been fashioned in their likeness to fill various menial and combat roles. One morning a young man named Otaru accidentally awakens a powerful combat Marionette with the rare ability to feel and express human emotions, a fortunate development considering that one of the descendants of those six men has just begun a campaign of conquest.

While this show shares a few setting and character details with Saber Marionette R, in most respects it’s completely different. Rather than being a drama with little in the way of romantic elements, it’s instead a slapstick comedy featuring standard harem-style hijinks with only tertiary dramatic aspects.

Tomoya Aki is a well known otaku blogger who covers Anime, LNs, and VNs. One day he’s struck by the sight of a girl on a hill and becomes obsessed with the idea of creating his own VN based on that experience. He lacks the skills to do it on his own though and so sets out to recruit two old acquaintances (a doujin artist and a novelist), running into the mystery girl from before in the process. Can the four of them work together to create a game?

A fully self-aware romantic comedy whose first episode, labeled “Episode 0”, takes place at the very end of the series. Unlike many harem comedies this one focuses primarily on reaction and dialog-based humor instead of ecchi comedy. It does still have a notable amount of ecchi however.
