The first Akuma Koujo novel, like the author’s previous work, plays around a bit with the genre; it starts out like a reincarnation isekai only to go in a different direction by the end. It also plays around a bit with perception to a rather effective degree. My only complaint at this point would be that the protagonist obsesses far too much about acting human in the middle portion.
The Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru series is a magical research-focused overpowered protagonist series with a lead reminiscent of Koujo Denka no Kateikyoushi‘s, only more on the flirty side. Which makes it all the more surprising that this isn’t a harem series. It is however, unfortunately, a school life series. While the elementary school arc was thankfully brief, the first year of the high-school/university arc ends up spanning three novels. I have no interest whatsoever in reading six more books set in this location and will almost certainly drop it if the pace doesn’t quicken.
