The protagonist is sort of like the former&#8217;s (which is good) while her &#8216;main&#8217; love interest is sort of like the latter&#8217;s (which is bad).<\/p>\n<p>Awkward\/creepy sexual elements aside though the book&#8217;s main issues are how erratic the protagonist&#8217;s personality is and incredibly contrived the event developments are. It requires some significant suspension of disbelief to get into, and doesn&#8217;t really have any noteworthy traits to justify that investment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0BMM7ZH5X\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai o Sukuu Youdesu<\/a> (English subtitle: <em>The Ultimate Party Is Born<\/em>) meanwhile resembles <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grimgar_of_Fantasy_and_Ash\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grimgar<\/a> a bit in setting and characters, although it&#8217;s much more irreverent and not an isekai story. That second part ends up important as a result of the inexplicable modern-day idol industry subplot. Why was that included? Are reincarnations\/isekai&#8217;d travelers going be introduced down the line? Just bizarre.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the ill-fitting idol elements the only other complaint I can really level is that the protagonists&#8217; backstories are a bit too melodramatic. It really hammers home how unjustifiably screwed they all were almost to the point of parody&#8230; which may have been the point.
