The sixth<\/a> Kasei Madoushi<\/a> novel starts off with an adventure which pushes Alec to finally confront his past, moves on to reveal said past in full detail, and finishes up with a stand-alone adventure. Strangely… what would be infuriating in another novel (the repetition of events from slightly different angles) somehow works here.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly Tensura<\/a>‘s sixteenth novel<\/a> busies itself with going over what happened in the previous battle and covering a bit of the aftermath\/clean-up. It also however goes over what was happening in the Labyrinth toward the end of said battle, which kind of came out of nowhere with how important it ended up being.<\/p>\n

There are some issues though. The first is that the author decided to ignore their editor’s warnings and started power ranking everyone with specific power levels in giant stat blocks… which is just total nonsense and a complete waste of space. None of those numbers mean anything! They’re completely arbitrary! The second is that it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, for no discernable reason, when the next book is apparently going to be a collection of short stories from various points of view. Why would you do such a thing unless you hate your readers?<\/p>\n
