Against my better judgement, I went and picked up the fourth<\/a> Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!<\/a> novel after watching the second season<\/a> of the Anime. The adaptation of the third novel wasn’t as head-and-shoulders above the one for the first two, so I figured I wouldn’t be missing much by reading the source material’s version of the ‘return to Earth’ arc immediately.<\/p>\n

Two things quickly became clear. The first being that the original version of the wedding arc was severely<\/em> lacking compared to the adaptation, and the second being that the start of the ‘return’ arc is completely different from what was shown at the end of the Anime. There are neither cyborgs nor a rescue in the original, which leaves me wondering what exactly the showrunners are up to.<\/p>\n

Kenseijo Adel no Yarinaoshi<\/a>‘s second entry<\/a> is much like the first content-wise. Though a little on the short side, the pacing is solid and events are wrapped up nicely without any glaring absences.
