The insanity on display here is less over-the-top though and it features significant romance elements.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/75345\/changeling\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CHANGELING<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>Coming across like an amalgam of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/solo-leveling-1-5\/\" title=\"Solo Leveling #1-5\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Na Honjaman Level-Up<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/a-journey-of-black-and-red-the-calamitous-bob\/\" title=\"~A JOURNEY OF~ BLACK and RED &#038; The Calamitous ~Bob~\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Journey of Black and Red<\/a> (with the same author as the latter), this series lags quite a bit in the transition from downtrodden grunt to overpowered vigilante. The beginning is good, and after she becomes a &#8216;mask&#8217; is good, but the space between can take some effort to get through.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/75666\/the-wicked-house-of-caroline\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">THE WICKED HOUSE OF Caroline<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>A work by the same author as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/web-novels-vol-4\/\" title=\"Web Novels, Vol. 4\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tori Transmigrated<\/a>, this series is unfortunately nowhere near as well constructed. The level of believability is just not up to par and the author&#8217;s disinterest in fixing any of the (occasionally quite serious) mistakes pointed out in the comments doesn&#8217;t do it any favors.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/84378\/behold-the-harbinger-of-doom-fiction\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Behold! The Harbinger of Doom<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>A fairly unconventional series that brings to mind <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jack_Vance\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Vance<\/a>&#8216;s <em>Dying Earth<\/em> and <em>Demon Princes<\/em> novels. It&#8217;s not really something that can be binged though as the concentration of randomness is pretty high.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/33997\/parallel-hearts-follow-the-story-of-cyra-and-her\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Parallel Hearts<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>Either the extremely&#8230; florid style of prose is to your taste or it isn&#8217;t. I prefer more modern phrasing.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/69046\/shades-of-perception-pf-book-3-started\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shades of Perception<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>While this plays with some pretty interesting ideas, I ultimately had to drop it about 25 chapters in. The protagonist keeps deliberately walking into questionable situations only to end up caving to those opposing him, even when he has a superior position.<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalroad.com\/fiction\/81230\/asheva-a-summoners-tale-a-monster-tamer-progression\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ASHEVA: A SUMMONER&#8217;S TALE<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>A stealth cultivation novel in a sci-fi setting.
