{"id":13648,"date":"2026-02-18T14:01:37","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T14:01:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/?p=13648"},"modified":"2026-02-19T04:49:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T04:49:16","slug":"trouble-shooter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/trouble-shooter\/","title":{"rendered":"TROUBLE SHOOTER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Decided to try <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/470310\/TROUBLESHOOTER_Abandoned_Children\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this game<\/a> after someone mentioned it was as enjoyable (presumably in relation to story or combat mechanics) as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/wasteland-3-triangle-strategy\/\" title=\"Wasteland 3 &#038; Triangle Strategy\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Triangle Strategy<\/a> with more character-building complexity than <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Final_Fantasy_Tactics\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FFT<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tactics_Ogre\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tactics Ogre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They were 100% correct about the character development and itemization systems, but at this point (chapter 1 completed) I&#8217;m not really seeing anything particularly noteworthy about it in any other respect. Everything other than combat is presented in a standard visual novel style, and so far the character interactions and plot developments are remarkably similar to what you&#8217;d find in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/tag\/the-legend-of-heroes\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Legend of Heroes<\/a> game. Your available party members are also initially quite limited (1-2 more will become available each chapter it seems) and there&#8217;s no option to recruit generic units.<\/p>\n<p>Which is not to say it&#8217;s bad. If you&#8217;re looking for a solid tactical RPG that gives plenty of options for character building this will certainly scratch that itch.
