Far in the future humanity has begun to colonize other parts of the galaxy, with one of their most recent colonies being located at the edges of known space. Here the Southern Cross defense force is drawn into a war following the sudden appearance of an advanced alien race in the skies above. A conflict in which Jeanne Fr\u00e1n\u00e7aix, the inexperienced and irresponsible 2nd officer of the 15th Squad, will end up playing a large role.<\/p>\n

Lots of mecha action with periodic bursts of comic relief arising from Jeanne’s carefree personality. Eventually various dramatic revelations are added along with a few romance subplots.<\/p>\n
