Making it a perfect choice to watch between the two. Even better, it features two <a href=\"https:\/\/typemoon.fandom.com\/wiki\/Luviagelita_Edelfelt\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">notable<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/typemoon.fandom.com\/wiki\/Kairi_Sisigou\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">characters<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/fate-apocrypha\/\" title=\"Fate\/Apocrypha\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Fate\/Apocrypha<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fate\/kaleid_liner_Prisma_Illya\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Prisma Illya<\/a> (making it easier to watch those series afterward).<\/p>\n<p>Content-wise it&#8217;s something like a detective mystery series infused with some standard <em>Fate\/<\/em>-style action and occasional comic relief. The first episode is not representative of the series as a whole (the <a href=\"https:\/\/myanimelist.net\/anime\/38936\/Lord_El-Melloi_II_Sei_no_Jikenbo__Rail_Zeppelin_Grace_Note_-_Hakamori_to_Neko_to_Majutsushi\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">stand-alone episode 0<\/a> serves that role far better), to the point that if the backstory revealed within weren&#8217;t somewhat necessary I&#8217;d suggest skipping it entirely, while the rest of the episodes are split between an early episodic focus and a plot-driven remainder. There&#8217;s also a bit of a subfocus on philosophy, which would&#8217;ve probably ended up as boring as <em>Zero<\/em>&#8216;s couch scenes had they not decided to keep the camera moving here. Even the most dialog-heavy sequences always have something to look at.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/myanimelist.net\/anime\/38297\/Maou-sama_Retry\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Maou-sama, Retry!<\/a> unfortunately doesn&#8217;t compliment anything. It&#8217;s nothing but a pale imitation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/overlord-movies\/\" title=\"Overlord\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Overlord<\/a> with a worse protagonist and more gratuitous ecchi.
