{"id":8859,"date":"2021-01-05T16:26:53","date_gmt":"2021-01-05T16:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/?p=8859"},"modified":"2021-01-06T01:13:06","modified_gmt":"2021-01-06T01:13:06","slug":"codevein-endgame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/codevein-endgame\/","title":{"rendered":"CodeVein &#8211; Endgame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I just beat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/hellpoint-codevein\/\" title=\"HELLPOINT &#038; CodeVein\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the game<\/a>&#8230; at level 1, with everything cleared\/collected (aside from the four bad end classes) and all equipment upgraded to +9 or higher.<\/p>\n<p>Hardest fights were <a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/Gilded+Hunter\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gilded Hunter<\/a> (his power-up has a limited duration and can be guarded through), those twin <a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/Brute+Monk+Lost\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yetis<\/a> in the Deeps (Fire Weapon &#038; Ice Guard), the Spire <a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/Cannoneer\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fire<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/Blade+Bearer\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ice<\/a> boss fight (used <a href=\"https:\/\/sethclydesdale.github.io\/code-vein-builder\/?build=IIBgPgQgHG4CLkZcBRAjGAwgNi2gzGKMmAGIBMA7LDZuQCxnxoZxohA\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this build<\/a>), and the <a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/Skull+King\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">final<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/codevein.wiki.fextralife.com\/The+Virgin+Born\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bosses<\/a> (used <a href=\"https:\/\/sethclydesdale.github.io\/code-vein-builder\/?build=IIBgPgQgTG4CIEYzCecBRJBhAbGLCAzMgBxgBiUZlA7PgjFocVlACwVJwCc+3QA\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this build<\/a>, swapping Blood Guard for Hasten after Skull King fell).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never really seen the appeal of low-level challenges, and honestly there were more than a few frustrating moments&#8230; yet after beating the game and leveling up to 90 for NG+ everything suddenly dies so satisfyingly fast. The contrast made it <em>almost<\/em> worth the effort. Ironically though, it seems I didn&#8217;t have to go through all that trouble in the first place since the level caps <a href=\"https:\/\/cvein.fandom.com\/wiki\/Field_Mechanics\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">are much more generous<\/a> than I thought. Wish I found that page earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Some other complaints would be:<br \/>\n&#8211; Unlimited Queen&#8217;s Steel unlocks far too late.<br \/>\n&#8211; The vestige scene walking speed is far too slow.<br \/>\n&#8211; The Good\/True ending doesn&#8217;t make a whole lot of sense.<\/p>\n<p>A mixed experience overall for sure, but an ultimate net positive I think.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I just beat the game&#8230; at level 1, with everything cleared\/collected (aside from the four bad end classes) and all equipment upgraded to +9 or higher.
