{"id":9625,"date":"2022-05-16T03:33:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-16T03:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/?p=9625"},"modified":"2022-05-27T09:42:11","modified_gmt":"2022-05-27T09:42:11","slug":"the-batman-zack-snyders-justice-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/the-batman-zack-snyders-justice-league\/","title":{"rendered":"The Batman &#038; Zack Snyder&#8217;s Justice League"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not sure why I decided to watch <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Batman_(film)\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this most recent movie reboot<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Batman\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">titular Batman character<\/a> since I&#8217;m not a big fan of DC comics or superhero movies in general. Think I was just bored&#8230; a state of affairs the movie did little to alleviate. While there&#8217;s no problem with the various actors (beside <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Pattinson\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pattinson<\/a> looking a bit too much like a punk rock frontman with all that eyeliner maybe), the pacing is pretty damn slow and it ends up feeling more like an endless miniseries than a movie.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zack_Snyder%27s_Justice_League\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Snyder Cut<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/assorted-mostly-dc-movies\/\" title=\"Assorted, Mostly DC, Movies\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Justice League movie<\/a> on the other hand has been on my &#8216;to watch&#8217; list for some time now, ever since I found out the original release had been heavily modified by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joss_Whedon\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joss Whedon<\/a> (which handily explained the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Avengers_(2012_film)\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Avengers<\/a> resemblance). Anyway, while this extended version no longer feels like a poor knockoff of that movie, I still wouldn&#8217;t go out of my way to call it worth watching unless you&#8217;re already a fan of the material.
