{"id":9884,"date":"2022-10-15T08:49:44","date_gmt":"2022-10-15T08:49:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/?p=9884"},"modified":"2022-12-14T10:40:17","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T10:40:17","slug":"full-clearing-another-world-under-a-goddess-with-zero-believers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/full-clearing-another-world-under-a-goddess-with-zero-believers\/","title":{"rendered":"Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers #1-4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09HBWX5D4\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shinja Zero no Megami-sama to Hajimeru Isekai Kouryaku<\/a> is a potpourri of a number of elements that may be familiar; the general setup from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/arifureta-from-commonplace-to-worlds-strongest-1-4\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arifureta<\/a> (minus the bullying), the goddess relationship from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/the-faraway-paladin-the-boy-in-the-city-of-the-dead-the-archer-of-beast-woods\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saihate no Paladin<\/a>, and the grind-obsession from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offkorn.com\/blog\/hell-mode-1-4\/\" title=\"Hell Mode #1-4\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hell Mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an interesting mix that works surprisingly well for the most part, at least as far as the first four books (<em>The Weakest Mage in Class<\/em>, <em>The Girl Who Reincarnated as a Calamity<\/em>, <em>Coldhearted Princess Carved of Ice<\/em>, &#038; <em>Death-Shrouded Priestess of a Ruined Land<\/em>) are concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Issues would be the lack of explanation regarding the magic mechanics (some aspects are extrapolated easily enough, others not so much), the protagonist&#8217;s somewhat inconsistent\/oddball personality, the general forward progression being rather bumpy, and how the author appears to have forgotten that Aya is supposed to be a lamia.
