The main thing to be aware of going into Luca De Rosa‘s A Bond Between Equals is that it features frequent, detailed, sexual scenes which tend to have a heavy focus on fluid dynamics. Less detailed is the System implementation, justified in-universe by it being on its last legs (to a greater degree than Heretical Fishing‘s), and the character interactions can be a bit uneven. What ended up being a deal-killer for me was how that whole computer room scene at the end played out and its implications for future developments… most notably the complete about-face on the harem issue.
Stuart Grosse‘s twenty-second Lich Returnee novella is one of the more laid-back ones focused on magecraft. It does however end with the indication that both the dragon subplot and the ‘left a hero behind on that fantasy world’ subplot are going to take center stage soon.
